Deveopers like it Software development engineer United States There is a string culture at Microsoft about liking thr company, it is stronger than in any other company I have ever worked. People at Exchange (Redmond, WA) are very supportive and friendly, yet they insist on making the best possible product and discussing options up front. Some people work very hard, but you are not forced to do it if you don't wanna. Very smart bunch of guys. Too much copy and paste. People are measured by the number of lines they add to the project, so some bugs are copied as much as 2,000 times in a single project, which means building the project is fast, but reducing the bug count takes forever.

Not easy being the unfavorite ones Architect United States Had the privilege to take art in many projects some are rather complicated architecturally. It's a real challenging and educating environment for me. There's a notion that we can continue making our money ignoring the public opinion (or at least major parts of it). Personally I don't believe this is the case. This may require us to change our business model which is probably something that MS management is still not ready for. Also better PR is required. I feel less comfortable telling people where I work knowing that some of them instantly identify me with "the evil forces".
